  • Great podcast just some audio drops here and there, but overall it was great. As for my game that got me hooked on gaming was the same as Scott. Vice City was just so good & I have so many memories of playing it.

  • Jason Large (BeaArthur)

Great show guys, except of course for the drops which were pretty frequent. I completely agree with Jeremiah about the Reach beta. Although I liked it more than Halo 3 almost right off the bat, as I have played more and more I realize that a lot of the weapons are more focused on specific tasks. Reach feels far more strategic than previous titles. I would have to disagree with you guys though because I feel that Reach takes more skill than Halo 3. The guns actually have a form of recoil or bloom as it is being called which means you can’t just spam the trigger. Most importantly I feel that Reach will decrease the disparity between the elite players and the rest of us which I feel will make the game more enjoyable. Over the last 5 to 10 years we have seen online gaming come to the forefront and now motion controls are making a strong push. Is motion the future, or will it just be another Virtual Boy? What do you guys think will be the next big revolution in gaming?

  • Its a shame you can’t hear what I am actually saying it cuts out when I make my point a few times. I do agree the game is more strategic Jason, and I think it does balance things out between super skilled and not so much. Though their is still a place for the headshot kings. I really can’t say enough about how good Reach is. Also I failed to mention I noticed Wayppoint has open positions for game design/prog etc jobs. Does this mean a waypoint game in the future? I would not doubt it, further more I would say its a brilliant idea! One more thing it cuts out when I am talking about legends and what I say is out of context. I frakin loved Legends, some of it just fell short of what I was expecting and not having the original voice of John 117 is just silly. Though Homecoming and The Package were both exceptional.

  • Matthew Reed (Matthew Lamora)

Absolutely great pocast guys. I agree completely that the glitches need to be worked on, like the bloom for one. The DMR with a little work could be a really fun and deadly addition to the new game. I’m a little dissapointed with the Needler Rifle, and you guys make a great point about the Assault Rifle. But after all, this is the Beta, and it allows the fans to give their feedback, and Bungie has always been really good about listening to the feedback, and fixing the problems. I think that is one of the main reasons why the series has been so successful, and it basically comes down to skill level. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the best Halo player out there, but I always come back to it because the more you play the better you become, and I have the most fun out of any game I’ve ever played. I love the Plasma Grenade Launcher, definately the most satisfing weapon so far. And I do belive that when we are able to play the new gametypes and loadouts, it will add a whole new elemnet of fun. Reach is far more stratigical than any other Halo game and I think that will be a major advantage if you’re able to take advantage of communication and teamwork. Loved the K/D, Stat banter btw. All in all, very informative. Waypoint is also one of my favorite new features, it’s well worth mentioning simply because it truely does give you so much more background to the story. I especially liked the info on Iron Man 2, loved the first one and now I want to see the sequel even more. Never knew much about method acting, and am thrilled to hear that Micky Rourke could be the next major silver screen villan. On a closing note, great show guys… keep up the good work, and we’ll all keep listening. Happy gaming P*N 🙂

  • I had no idea that was how the grenade launcher worked in the beta.
