On the official Battlefield Company 2 website a detailed article sits detailing how much this new Onslaught game mode will cost, what platforms are supported and when we can get our hands on it.
‘Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is bringing Battlefield’s first co-op mode to consoles with Onslaught mode. Up to 4 players can tackle the new objective based missions posting your best times on the co-op leaderboards as well as the chance to obtain new achievements and trophies. Onslaught will be available from June 22nd on Xbox 360 for 800 MS Points and on the PlayStation Network in North America for $9.99 followed by the European PlayStation Network on June 23rd for 8.99€.’
I am rather looking forward to downloading this. It lands on the 22nd of this month and I had hoped that VIP’s might have received a discount however not everything can be free I guess. The article then continues to reveal screenshots of the game mode followed by the addition of ‘Kit Shortcuts’ which allow gamers who don’t want to level up on their own, to pay a fee unlock locked items quicker. By using this option, the player only unlocks specific items associated with a chosen class and does not allow them to level up their rank any faster than they normally would. I actually think that this could give certain players an unfair advantage but we shall have to wait until both of these updates are available later this month.
