Platform Nation’s “A Simple Question” – 6/16/10

With all the E3 news you’re finding at Platform Nation, I know you won’t have a lot of time to read some of the other great articles we will be putting out there.  So this week’s question will be based on everything you’ve been reading about the last couple of days:

What E3 announcement has been the biggest deal for you?

Purely speculative, and no restrictions this week (though try to make it specific, rather than “Nintendo’s presser was awesome!”) Game? System? Feature? What did you like?‘s response: “Valve has canceled its big announcement and delayed Portal 2, but the company that brought us Portal and Half-Life still has a “surprise” in store for us. There’s also been speculation that Half-Life 2: Episode Three will finally get a release date.”

My response to last week’s ASQ: At what age is it appropriate for children to start playing video games?

Playing video games, I don’t think I will allow my child to do so before 6 or 7. There’s just so many other things they can and should be doing.

On a side note, I plan on having them grow up through the video game systems I own too (start on the Atari 2600, and work up ). Give them a full appreciation for where we are today.

A Simple Question (ASQ) is a weekly segment for Platform Nation.  Each week, you’ll be posed a question.  These may be topical, funny, insightful, or just plain strange, and we want to hear from you.  Give a response and let the world know what you think.  There is no right or wrong answer here.  I will post my response on Friday in this post, and repost it next week. You’ll also see ChaCha’s response to the question each week.  If you have a suggestion for a question, hit me up on twitter @vttym.
