Recently Gaikai and EA made a deal that will allow Gaikai to stream certain EA titles over the internet using Gaikai’s streaming service. The EA games include Mass Effect, Battlefield Bad Company, Dragon Age, Medal of Honor, Need For Speed and The Sims. All of these games will be available when Gaikai launches in 2011. David Perry, the co-founder of Gaikai spoke about this agreement and said:
“EA has some of the most important franchises in the videogame industry, and we’re excited to be able to use our streaming technology to help new audiences discover these amazing properties,”
I am quite excited to see that big game publishers like EA are backing these streaming services of the future. It will be very interesting to see how Gaikai compares to Onlive in terms of pricing, quality of service and most of all, available ability.
