Supersonic SEGA Savings For Sonic’s 19th Birthday

SEGA has announced that, for Sonic’s 19th birthday this week (Sonic The Hedgehog was released for the Sega Genesis on June 23rd, 1991), they’ll be knocking down prices on tons of DLC and games, and not all starring him. For the Xbox Live Arcade, all four Sonic titles (Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles) will be marked down from $5 to $3 (you can do the MS Point math there), while iOS titles will get a similar markdown, and a bevy of Sonic DLC will get discounted for the PS3 (alongside Sonic Rivals discounts for the PSP).

The iOS discounts will run from June 23rd to June 30th, while the PSN downloads will run from June 22nd to July 6th. The Xbox Live deals will only run on this Thursday. Personally, I’m looking at completing my collection on Xbox Live with Sonic 3 & Knuckles, since Lock-On Technology works for the games (and I can never own too many copies of these titles). I’m pretty sure I own the original Sonic game for Genesis, Wii, Gamecube, Saturn, and Xbox 360 at this point.
