Fans of scary polygonal children rejoice, for Microsoft’s virtual boy ‘Milo’ is still living somewhere within Peter Molyneux’s development dungeon at Lionhead Studios. Even though he failed to make a re-appearance at this year’s E3, Joystiq reports that Milo is still trying to learn all of your personal information, and you may find him smiling on your local store’s shelf sometime in the future.
No official word has been said on the subject, but the Joystiq article points to a photo tweeted by Sam Van Tilburgh, an employee at Lionhead Studios. This picture was taken in ‘response’ to Aaron Greenberg’s statement that Milo is “not a game that we’re planning to bring to market.” To counter-counter retort, Greenburg recently tweeted, “Project Milo absolutely continues in development at Lionhead Studios, it is just not a product we plan to bring to market this holiday.”
While not exactly outing a Milo-infused product in the works, it seems the idea is still on the table. So, cross your fingers ladies and gentlemen, and hope that Mircosoft’s little dead-eyed TV companion will be in your home soon.
