Very recently TopWare Interactive posted a picture of the Two Worlds II Royal Edition for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. They did not give a lot of information in the post but I am here to give you a little of what I know and a little of what I think. All TopWare had to say on facebook was, “Game, Artbook, Figure, Playing Cards, Handbook, Bonus Disk, Map”. Now like I said, that’s not a lot to go on, but a picture is worth a thousand words and as excited as I am to get my hands on this game, I’m sure I can manage a couple.
From what I can see, the game looks like it comes in a standard game case, no steel book case or anything fancy. The art book looks very nice with what looks like a hardback cover and a fancy built in bookmark. This should satisfy RPG nerds and geeks alike. The figure is a voluptuous sorceress with barely any clothes in the right places, very Boris Vallejo. The playing cards have some nice Two Worlds II personalized art and should make for some fun card games with your Dungeons and Dragons buddies. There is a handbook that looks like it is hardback as well, but I’m not to sure about that. The bonus disc says “Soundtrack, Videos, Wallpaper” on the cover so hopefully that will be some nice goodies to dig into. One item I noticed that is not mentioned is the big box behind the game case. Is this just some cardboard box or something a little more substantial? Finally, the map looks like a map. I don’t know if it’s paper or cloth, but it looks cool.
All in all, this looks like a very nice special edition of a game that is shaping up to be a surprise hit. What is not known though is pricing and whether or not this edition will come to the USA. The reason I say this is if you check out the handbook, it actually says “Handbuch” on the spine. Is this some marketing gimmick and part of Antaloor (the world where the game is based) culture or is it because Reality Pump (the developers of the game) is based in Poland? Only time will tell and when it does, I will let you know.
