Oddworld Revival

Recently the developers at JAW (Just Add Water) have confirmed that several Oddworld titles will be hitting the next generation consoles in the near future. They posted this information on their website and revaled that these titles or ‘projects’ as they are referred to, have been under development for the past 12 months.

“To work with the team at Oddworld has been amazing; being able to tap the minds of Lorne Lanning, Sherry McKenna and others has been fantastic,” said Just Add Water’s Managing Director Stewart Gilray.
“It’s almost symbiotic in that when something moves forward on any of the projects we just start chatting about new items, or what if we do this,” Gilray continued. “We’re all extremely excited to breathe life into the Oddworld universe and indeed to let it breathe life into us.”

Details are limited but the ‘projects’ will be multi-platform, the post then continues to say that more information will be released in the coming weeks and months and our ‘favourite’ Oddworld characters will also be announced. I for one am very excited about this announcement and hope to hear more info regarding this very secretive Oddworld game as Oddworld was one of my all time favourite titles to play when I owned the original Playstation.

  • I enjoyed Oddworld really ashamed I forgot all about the game until you mentioned it as the game was fun and now I am wondering what they will come out with seeing it is a secretive title

I loved Oddysee and Exoddus. Didn’t like Munch, and never played Stranger. I’d really like a chance to jump back into the Oddworld, especially if they keep it in 2D side-scroller style.
