Rock Band 3 Dated

The official word out of Harmonix today is that you will be rocking out in Rock Band 3 come this October. Along with this announcement come details of the pre-order bonuses we will get from some of the major retailers.

If you decide to pre-order for the game’s October 26th release, you will have a few different bonuses to choose from. Gamestop will be giving you three free song downloads with your purchase. This seems like the best way to go, especially once you see the songs. Burning Down the House by Talking Heads, My Own Summer by the Deftones, and Blue Monday by New Order promise to give you a lot of bang for your pre-order buck.

Amazon promises to give you an exclusive free in-game guitar if you pre-order on any of the three major consoles. Additionally, if you pre-order on the Xbox 360 or PS3 you will get $10 video game credit towards a future purchase. Why this limited time offer isn’t available on the Wii isn’t explained.

People that pre-order at Walmart get a free $10 gift card no matter what their console of choice is.

Rock Band 3 features a new 83-song setlist, new game modes, and new instruments. All DLC from the previous versions of Rock Band are promised to work with the new game. The “Limited Edition” versions of the game that include the instruments have not been priced. The game itself will retail for $59.99 on all consoles and $29.99 on the Nintendo DS.
