Platform Nation’s “A Simple Question” – 7/28/10

This article was written by: Tym Kaywork (vttym)

It happens to everyone: You’re on  plane flight over international waters, on the toilet, and *SHOOMP!* you’re sucked out of the plane, and somehow land safe and sound on an isolated island, unharmed.  What’s more, you notice this island has a great feature: it has every gaming system ever, and through the miracle of rhetorical, all work and have power. The only problem? There are no games! Fortunately, you happened to be carrying one when you landed.  Which brings us to today’s question:

If you could only bring one, what game would you bring to a deserted island?

Feel free to answer this question two ways: What single player game and what multi-player game (since, honestly, if you had unlimited time, and Internet access, why wouldn’t you be playing an MMO? :) ).  Assume any game will be able to connect to the Internet, get all downloadable content, etc, but you only get one game.

Chacha.com’s response:My favorite video game to play is Left 4 Dead, so I would take that one. But not Left 4 Dead 2, because I hate clowns!!” – Not a bad choice…

A Simple Question (ASQ) is a weekly segment for Platform Nation.  Each week, you’ll be posed a question.   Give a response and let the world know what you think.  There is no right or wrong answer here.  I will post my response on Friday. If you have a suggestion for a question, hit me up on twitter @vttym.
