First up today is Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 and Platform Nation bring you newly released screens and gameplay footage.

Which camp are you in?  Will FIFA continue its recent dominance or will this be the season that PES reclaims its crown?  Leave comments below.

Today KONAMI released new in-game screenshots and gameplay footage of the next addition to the Pro Evolution Soccer sports videogame franchise, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, scheduled for release on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, WiiTM and Windows PC this fall.

Very underwhelming… Konami need to step back and start this series again. The player animations are so poor. I loved PES a few years ago but they really haven’t made a game fit for this generation of console. EA learnt from PES how to improve FIFA but Konami haven’t learned this lesson yet. Sooner or later they will run out of fan boys and noone will be playing this series anymore.

  • I still prefer PES to FIFA, but konami still have a long way to go. They do seem to be fixing any issues within 2011 through online patches, but from the comments I have heard, there are a lot of issues. Especially critical ones. Lets see if the game can get up to scratch and start to rival FIFA the way it used to.
