    As for paying for online services — look, nothing is free (Steve, you can attest to the costs of hosting just a webpage). I have no problem with paying for content if I feel that the return on investment is worth it. Xbox Live is something I feel I get my money’s worth on. Others I’m sure will disagree, but I’m willing to concede paying for the overall service to keep things running as they should.

  • The price increase doesn’t bother me. I have never paid the full amount for a 12 month membership. If I went on Amazon right now, I can get 12+ 2 months of gold for £40.17.

  • the most i have paid for 12 months of XBL Gold is £25. Which equates to just under $40. So for just over $3 a month, I don’t mind paying for the service provided by Microsoft.
