Unsung Heroes Halo Edition Vol. 2

T.G.I.F. Platform Nation Readers and welcome to this weeks edition of Unsung Heroes. Last week I gave it up to the men and women at Bungie who have crafted us a near perfect gaming experience with Halo Reach. Well I’m going to keep the Halo train rolling by doing another Halo related tribute. So let’s get to it. This week’s Unsung Hero has gotten me out of a tight spot many times over the past week and a half. It has proven itself to me time and time again. Let’s give a big round of applause to the UNSC standard issue Magnum M6G Pistol.

Holy Moly! I can actually kill stuff with my pistol! I’ve played my fair share of shooters over the years and one thing that I’ve almost always been let down by are the handguns. More times than not they are underpowered and have such a short range that unless you get a head shot at point blank, you might as well just keep them holstered. Not the Magnum M6G though. This beauty packs a punch and with the added scope, has amazing range.

The Magnum M6G in Reach comes equipped with a smart-linked KFA-2 x2 scope. You can use this in a pinch as a makeshift sniping rifle and pick off your enemies before they even knew what hit them. I’ve had some amazing success doing this in both single player campaign and multiplayer matchmaking. Some enemies can be taken out with one well placed headshot while others will require you to break through their shields first. Once you do though, watch out! I’ve even been able to take down my enemies quickly during gun fights while using this bad boy.

Over all I am very impressed with this little handgun. It offers up a nice punch with great accuracy as well. Compared to pistols in other games, the Magnum M6G is actually worth using. Go on and give it a try. I promise you won’t be let down. So let’s give the Magnum a 21 handgun salute!

Magnum M6G pistol, I Salute You!

Sorry if this one was a bit uninspired. It’s been a hectic week and I just didn’t get time to think about this.
