Who’d have thought that a multiplayer Castlevania game would be fun? Nearly two months ago, Konami released Castlevania: Harmony Of Despair on the Xbox Live Arcade. The game can be pretty entertaining in multiplayer mode, but most gamers agree that the single player mode is too barren and boring for much entertainment. The game only has a handful of levels to play through, but Konami’s added a new one this week.
The level Beauty, Desire, Situation Dire has been added to the Live Marketplace. Running 400 MS Points, it costs a good chunk of the title itself. Set in a pyramid, you likely have to do the same thing as any other level: run around, collect items, and fight a boss. There’s been no word on a PlayStation Network release, only the vague promise that a port would come about if sales were good.
Did you venture through the world of Castlevania with some friends? I did, but never beat all the levels. At 400 MS Points, though, I don’t think I’ll be adding this one to my level select screen.
