Last night (or this morning because, you know, Japan and everything) was the Nintendo Conference 2010. They highlighted a couple of things including just how well Pokémon: Black and White sold (2.55 million in its first week); the upcoming Super Mario Collection, a possibly Japan-only rerelease of Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii; and a few other odds and ends I’m sure someone out there is interested in—the Wii Remote Plus is real, if you were wondering.
The big news, however, was the myriad of 3DS information divulged to the audience. To quote Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata, Nintendo has “studied 3D in depth because [they] can offer more freedom by using 3D.” Good to know, but how about them games?
Thanks to to the Internet, we can catch a glimpse of most of the upcoming 3DS games including (OMFG) Pilotwings Resort, Kid Icarus, a couple Bioha-err, Resident Evil games, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater, Professor Layton, Starfox, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and something involving a Chocobo and explosions. Oh yeah, and Animal Crossing, but I’ve had just about enough of that damn Tom Nook and his indentured servitude.
Also, is it just me, or is the 3DS looking a bit bulky?
