NYCC 2010: Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare

By now you probably have heard about the newest DLC for Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, and the only thing you were able to find out about it was it had zombies and well a lot more zombies even the animals are zombified. Well while at NYCC 2010 I got my hands on some of the action and if you take the Wild West and add zombies you have Undead Nightmare. I was not given much information about the game but what I found out I will let you in on.
First the new single campaign mode will give you about 5 to 6 hours of gameplay and that is not including multiplayer. No details have been released as of yet about the multiplayer but you will be able to add a couple of weapons to your arsenal. The one weapon that sticks out is the blunderbuss and as you kill zombies you pick up the pieces and that is your ammunition, so you are shooting ribs and arms at the zombie wave as they are trying to kill you. The next addition is a torch, and that is used to set the coffins on fire and start the zombie wave. The pricing point is the norm for DLC and that is $9.99 on the PSN and 800 MSP for the 360. By now you are probably tired of hearing about zombies and why does a developer always add the feature of zombies into a game? Well I ask that question all the time and all I have to say is Undead Nightmare will not disappoint as the feel and overall look of the DLC is just right and proves to be a welcome addition Red Dead Redemption.
Keep an eye out for further developments and let’s keep our fingers crossed that this pack is released soon.

I HEARD THAT THE UNDEAD NIGHTMARE HAS MANY NEW WEAPONS NEW THINGS TO DO AND AN INTENSE BATTLE ACTION. I ALSO HAVE REPORTS THAT IT IS EITHER GOING TO BE RELEASED ON 10/13/10 DUE TO ALL THE DEMANDS FOR THE DLC TO BE RELEASED OR THEY MIGHT STICK WITH THE ORIGINAL RELEASE DATE AND RELEASE IT ON HALLOWEEN 10/31/10

  • New weapons will be introduced and the new DLC will provide fast paced zombie slaughtering. I don’t have the definite but if I where to give it a date I would say next week (10/19/2010) just in time for some zombie killing on Halloween.

I’ve read anywhere between 5 to 12 hours of single player. Was the 5 to 6 that you got from Rockstar?

    Also, it’s a “blunderbuss.” 🙂

    • 5 to 6 hours is just your single player mode not including all the side quest so you probably could stretch it out 12 hours and that is right from Rockstar

Any chance Rockstar will give us a complete snadbox style Zombie game in the future?!!

  • I don’t know Gilly, but it would be a lot of fun.
