One Year Ago: Uncharted 2

On October 13th 2009 I went to my local games store (Gameplanet, one of the most important stores here in Mexico) looking for something good to play after I grew tired of The Beatles: Rock Band and Halo 3: ODST. I had heard about Uncharted 2, got into the multiplayer beta and played Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune months before that but didn’t really appreciate it as it deserved. I decided to give it a try, asked for the collector’s edition and they told me there wasn’t any (except for the Fortune Hunter Edition, very rare). The idea “man, this game must suck then” came to my mind… I was so wrong.

This is how it all starts.

It’s been one year since I got my favorite PS3 game and one of my favorite games of all time. Uncharted 2: Among thieves not only was better than the first one, but offered things we believed were impossible, as a very fun cinematic gameplay, great graphics with an excellent color pallet and a multiplayer so complete and competitive that it is almost a sin not to experience it. How can we forget the helicopter scene while escaping a collapsing building? Or what about the beautiful streets of Nepal? There is so much about Uncharted 2 but you probably already know it.

Chloe. A hot girl for a hot game.

A year has passed and I just wanted to borrow this space to remind you there is a great game out there, probably one of the best action games you’ll ever play. If you have it, give it a chance today and see how fun the single player campaign was and how entertaining it is to master the multiplayer game. If you do not have it a new Game of the Year Edition was released yesterday. Go get it; it’s worth every single dollar you pay for it. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is going to give you a lot if you give it a chance, I can guarantee it.

    I completely agree

I’ve been gaming since the 80s and Uncharted 2 is one of the best games that I’ve ever played.

It’s one of those games that makes other games just feel second-rate.

It’s beautiful, cinematic, and has quite intuitive controls. For me it is certainly the top game of this console generation so far.

I’m almost worried about Uncharted 3, because it will be hard to top the single player campaign in UC2.
