This isn’t exactly something we didn’t know already. But now it’s official. The new Wii Remote Plus (basically a Wiimote with the Motion Plus technology built-in) has been rumored, leaked and even officialy shown overseas for a couple of weeks now, so it was a little surprising NOA hadn’t made any official comment on the subject. That, however, changes today, when a series of announcements regarding the new remote and some other things were made.
The Wii Remote Plus set to release on November 7th, bundled with the game FlingSmash at MSRP of $49.99. You should note there wont be any other way to get the game, as it will be released only as part of the bundle.
If you’re not interested in FlingSmash at all, the remotes will be sold separately in a variety of colors to fit your taste, and at a MSRP of $39.99
In addition, some announcements were made regarding the Super Mario 25th Anniversary celebration; namely some special editions of both the Wii and the Nintendo DS. Priced at $199.99, the Red Wii bundle will include a red console, a red Wii Remote Plus, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Wii Sports. Meanwhile, the Special Edition Nintendo DSi XL bundle will include Super Mario Kart DS, a specially themed Nintendo DSi XL console, and two preloaded DSiWare games; at a MSRP of $179.99
