If you don’t want to know anything about the zombie mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops, you don’t want to continue reading this article.
The zombie mode in Call of Duty: World at War was a bizarre bit of fun that added some replay value to the game for those (like me) who weren’t infatuated with the multiplayer. With Call of Duty: Black Ops, Treyarch is seriously upping the ante.
According to a video posted on Kotaku, instead of playing as a nameless US soldier, you will be able to play as John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Fidel Castro, and Robert McNamara. That’s right. You are going to be able play as everyone’s favorite Irish American Catholic President. Activision hasn’t confirmed any of this as of yet, but the video looks fairly real.
Of course, there’s no telling if this is going to increase the replay value of the game, or if it will be a gimmick that fizzles out after a few playthroughs. It would be pretty interesting to see if Treyarch is going to create different scenarios for these four, or if we might see some more historical figures killing zombies. I am definitely more excited for Call of Duty: Black Ops than I was before.
