In honor of Veterans Day, we not only wanted to look back and remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country, but to remember those that also served in our nations military or those that continue to serve. My favorite military game is Wolfenstein, the newest one. Gotta love fighting Nazis, as well as evil possessed ones! πŸ˜‰

  • Shane_For_Wax

My favorite military game has to be Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Ages old but it had a female MP character. It’s also where I got my Multiplayer start. πŸ™‚

So far I would have to say that Modern Warfare 4 has been my favorite military game. I have not tried black ops yet though. The story and game play behind the game was very interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat. Thanks to all the vets for their service.

  • txhurricane

The original SOCOM has got to be my all-time favorite.

My favorite military game would probably be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It wasn’t anywhere near my first, or my last, but it was the first one that I played after many years of feeling bored by the genre. At the time it was very fresh. Unfortunately we’re now in a place where everything is based on what it did and sliding back into that place where military games were before it came out.

My favorite military game would have to be Medal of Honor: Frontline

The campaign featured some of the best missions we’ve ever played including D-Day & Arnhem Knights. The soundtrack was phenomenal as well, and it features pieces that are still remembered years later.

  • agentcoop007

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is my favorite. I might be the in the minority, but I like the second one better then the first.
But I did like the story mode better the the multiplayer

  • agentcoop007

Oh and why is MW2 my favorite? because its such a realistic exciting game that really made me feel like I was watching a movie. Something that Halo never did for me πŸ™‚ @agentcoop007

  • Brian Heitzenrater (FrehleyzComet)

Halo Reach is mine! It has an amazing story that shows what real sacrifice is (even if it is a fictional setting). Noble 6 is a good representation of the caliber of our troops.

Thank you Steve for helping to keep America free.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 because the multiplayer in that game was phenomenal and it encouraged teamwork.

  • Cannon Fodder on the Amiga as it made you care about each individual soldier in your army, plus the theme song rocked.

I have an address in the US too, if I am lucky enough to win.

Im just old school. As for my fave military game never got into those new CoD or MoH.
Contra, an alien invasion who’s gonna save the world? Two good ol soldiers from the USA! Insanely hard but the best co-op game ever.

  • Going back a ways, but my favorite military game is Airborn Ranger for the C-64.

My nephew & I just loved that game. We would take turns playing for hours on end!

BF2142 is my favorite.. I had more hours in this game than the other war game combined. Why? Because it was the most balanced, fun, new, and exciting game of all the battlefield games for me. Flying was fun(once you learned how), the mechs were awesome, infantry combat was insane(especially with the Clark 15B Shotgun) . The game was incredible, at least until 1.25 came out. But during 1.2, it was imo the best multiplayer shooter to be playing at the time.

My favorite is Bad Company 2. I love the support classes, no killstreaks, huge maps, and powerful, varied vehicles.

  • Not a huge military shooter fan, but the one that held my interest for the longest time was the least well-received of recent CODs, World at War. Nazi zombie mode was good enough to drag me away from Left 4 Dead for hours on end. And I actually beat the single player campaign.

  • Metal_Slugga

I’d go with Rainbow 6 Vegas, gotta go with tactical over run and gun and the close quarters and squad focus put it at the the top’o’the heap of military shooters

    twitter @USBMark

  • A Dark Knight 2

Favorite military game is Black Ops (because Steve doesn’t like it) πŸ™‚

Seriously, I’ll go with Metal Gear Solid 2.

    Thanks for the contest..!

  • Fave Military game?
    Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
I loved everything about it, from the plot, to the weapons… Multiplay didnt feel as hurried and cramped as alot of games do, I also enjoyed the maps wherei could play with my friends in a firefight setting!
    pure awesome!

  • mirpkered

Probably my favorite military game was Battlefield: Bad Company. The destructible environment was great but I also loved the humor in it.

  • aznxchunky

my favorite is the first modern warfare. never forget the nuke.

I haven’t actually played many military games. I’ll go with Toy Soldiers. I tweeted here:!/alee67/status/2849173934178304

Counter-Strike. Pinnacle of all shooters, especially PC. Decades ahead of it’s time, and still outshines many games today. CS had some extremely balanced maps, and was immensely deep… shooting through walls and crates was never harder or more useful.

    Twitter: viisual

Oh and if you don’t believe it’s a military game, disagrees:
