Platform Nation’s “A Simple Question”: Portable Games On Consoles

With the announcement that Angry Birds will be finding its way to XBLA, Wii and PSN, it brought no small joy to this writer’s heart.  If you haven’t played this game on your Apple or Android device, you will be able to enjoy it on your console soon.  This incredible little game is terribly addictive, and while it remains to be seen how it translates to console living, it did spawn this week’s ASQ:

What other games currently only on portable devices would make a good console title?

There’s a lot to choose from, but how many are actually worth playing on the big screen?  If you think a small change would be all it would take, throw it in with your suggestion. responds: “It depends on which games you enjoy playing.  I would like to see Assassin, Atari Missile command, and Command & Conquer Red Alert.”  – I probably shouldn’t point out that, technically, Missile command IS a console game (that, if you watched my 24 hour gaming session, you saw me play!).

A Simple Question (ASQ) is a weekly segment for Platform Nation.  Each week, you’ll be posed a question.   Give a response and let the world know what you think, there is no right or wrong answer here.  I will post my response on Friday. If you have a suggestion for a question, hit me up on twitter @vttym.
