Platform Nation’s “A Simple Question”: Black Friday

Black Friday is around the corner, and with it are some nice game deals.  I’ll be honest, I haven’t been that enamored by some of the deals: it seems if you need a bundle you’ll get in good, but single game deals are not as prevalent.  That said, there are still deals to be had, so after taking a moment to peruse some of the sales (Here, here and here), it’s time to consider this week’s ASQ:

What Black Friday deals are you most excited about, as it relates to video games?

Is it XBLA discounts that got you geeked?  That sweet PS3 bundle that will finally let you play 3D games on your 3D TV (I’m looking at all 3 of you out there!)? Or that BOGO offer for a couple of your favorite games?  Do you plan on shopping for games this Black Friday? Let the Nation know!’s response: “Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood seems very exciting!” – I will help out that answer by throwing in the K*Mart has the game for $34.99 for Xbox 360. That price is ridiculous.

A Simple Question (ASQ) is a weekly segment for Platform Nation.  Each week, you’ll be posed a question.   Give a response and let the world know what you think, there is no right or wrong answer here.  I will post my response on Friday. If you have a suggestion for a question, hit me up on twitter @vttym.

  • Brian Heitzenrater (FrehleyzComet)

I am hoping that Amazon will have Borderlands GOTY on sale! I don’t see it anywhere else looking online.

  • I’ve been waiting for that to drop too, Brian.. got a bunch of friends about to start playing, and wanted to get going myself.

Best deals I’m seeing are a slew of new games on Amazon for $29.99 (Halo:Reach, Fallout NV), and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for $34.99. Also saw a 32″ 1080p TV for $329.

    Crazy stuff!
