Mark Wahlberg As Nathan Drake?

Well some of the news has came out about the upcoming Uncharted movie. In an surprising announcement, Mark Wahlberg has been confirmed to star as Nathan Drake. In a recent interview with MTV.com, Mark confirmed that David O. Russell is working on it as well as trying to get Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro involved in this project. I’m not sure how you all feel about this, I have to admit that I was a little disappointed when I first heard of this, mostly because Mark Wahlberg isn’t Nathan Fillion, someone that for anyone that has played Uncharted, feels would be better suited for that role. Those two just always looked alike and Nathan Fillion just always felt suited for that role as Nathan Drake. Anyways, yesterday everyone over Twitter seemed a little upset about it, what do you all think?

    I definitely think it should be Wahlberg. Not only is he hotter but he’s also a better actor.

    Nathan Fillion is one of the best actors I’ve ever seen. The way he portrays characters is utterly brilliant, and Nathan Drake is a personality so suited to the man. Mark Walberg completely ruined the persona of Max Payne in the movie of the same name. I still hold that Nathan Drake was based off of Fillion.

    I really can’t see this movie being much more than a failure. And the fact that it will almost undoubtedly be inferior to the game itself defeats the whole purpose of a movie. If you’re going to make a movie, do such for a game without a fleshed out story that you can make a movie that makes it better, not a game that has one of the best stories of any game and simply ruin it, let alone that the game has gameplay as well.

    I don’t think the role of Nathan Drake needs to be worried about that much, Mark Wahlberg is a terrific actor and will compliment the role perfectly. I honestly am scared of them casting a terrible actress to play Chole such as Megan Fox or Angelina Jolie. Hope this movie is good.
