Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition

Deus Ex: Human Revolution and its unintentionally dirty URL has foregone calling its collector’s edition just that and gone on to “Augmented Edition” which will feature a 40-page artbook, a DVD housing a veritable treasure trove Human Revolution multimedia, and a motion graphic novel, all of which will be contained within a $69.99 ($59.99 for PC) box from the future!

Well, that may be a bit of an exaggeration since while it is technically only in existence in the future, it will probably just be a cardboard box/folder thingy with flaps to hold all of the extra goodies. I’m sorry, I’m just so gosh darn excited for this game.

The pre-order bonuses have also been announced in the choice of one of two packs, both of which include a bevy of extra upgrade and augmentation credits.

The first is the GameStop-exclusive Explosive Mission Pack which features a new mission with a cameo from the “original Deus Ex character,” the Linebacker G-87 Grenade Launcher, the M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device, and an Automatic Unlocking Device, which I sincerely hope looks like a giant doorknob.

The second is the “participating retailers” exclusive Tactical Enhancement Pack which has the Longsword Whisperhead Suppressed Extreme Range Sniper Rifle and the Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun.

Hot damn, those are some prolix names. Anyways, here are the two accompanying trailers for those pre-order packs.
