Can’t wait to see what changes are in store for the unluckiest space engineer in history, Isaac Clark? Lucky for us, Visceral games plans to release a demo on Xbox Live and PSN later this month. On the down side, it seems like the enticing and intriguing Left 4 Dead style multiplayer will be a no-show. Well, I guess I’ll have to settle with dismembering alien babies. Sigh.
North American gamers can grab the demo off of the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on Dec. 21, 2010, while Europeans can only get the demo from PSN starting on Dec. 22, 2010.
Dead Space 2 follows the engineer Issac Clarke as he picks up his weapons and goes after the Necromorph threat on the Sprawl, a space station that was once a well-oiled machine and is now chock-full of monsters. The demo will have players wandering through the Church of Unitology and trying out the brand new Javelin gun as well as updated stasis and telekinetic abilities. There might even be some Zero-G stuff in there for good measure. Oh, and expect some blood.
