In the end of the first game in the series, Nicole managed to activate the Crystal Portal in her father’s basement in hope to find him. Much time has passed since Nicole’s father, a well-known archaeologist disappeared, but Nicole refuses to believe she will never see him again. In The Mystery of the Crystal Portal 2: Beyond the Horizon, Nicole and her fellow mate Igor set on a new adventure in search of Nicole’s missing father and try to uncover the greatest mystery which only her father knows. Discover a secret so big that it could threaten the very course of human history. Find loads of Brain-Bending Fun in The Mystery of the Crystal Portal 2: Beyond the Horizon!
Crystal Portal 2 has you travelling to different locations in each trying to further unlock the disappearance of your father. Each location offers a different challenge each with a unique aspect that will help further the discovery all while progressing the story. Playing as Nicole your main objective will be to collect evidence of why your father went missing and where exactly he disappeared to.
Like the first episode, The Mystery of the Crystal Portal 2: Beyond the Horizon game is filled with various types of items: key objects, normal objects, and containers. Key objects open another menu that you then must fill in to obtain that object to fill in another items list. Crystal Portal 2 is unique in this way because it offers a great way to further the game play. Playing through the game many times you will find yourself unlocking doors or getting crucial items using this method as it enhances the game play and overall experience.
-Game Center Support
– Unique Hidden Object Game play
-8 Incredible Locations
-8 Tricky Mini Games
-34 Fascinating Levels
-Music adds in great ambience
My only gripe with the game was when selecting items many times with one click it would select/de-select that item in one press. Wish that they would fix that so when you press an object it stays selected unless you press off of it. Zooming in by pinching did get somewhat annoying though it wasn’t a major flaw just more of an annoyance. Maybe a double tap to zoom would have been more effective.
Crystal Portal quickly broke away from other games in the same genre right from the start. When searching for items to unlock a puzzle you also had to unlock that item which was a joy. Difficulty was just enough that it was not frustrating though was not too easy it was boring. Crystal Portal would be a great time killer for anyone already into search/find game types. If you are new to the game type Crystal Portal 1 would be a great starting point then I would suggest purchasing 2 after to continue the great story.
Hands Down A Buy!
