Shoot to Kill HD is pretty much the exact same game as the first one that you can actually get for free right now in the iTunes Store.

The game is pretty simple, you are shooting your way out of Hell. You can’t control your character, he just stays in the same spot, but you do control where he shoots, that being you can tap where you want him to shoot or hold your finger down in the area that you would like to be attacking and he will go full auto in that area with his machine gun or whatever weapon he has equipped at the time. That’s pretty much the entire game, as you advance you will unlock new and more powerful weapons while at the same time, you will be facing new and more powerful enemies. The enemies that you face will also have unique attributes the further you go into the game so you will have to be employing a smarter strategy the further you go if you want to live.

Currently free
– Leaderboards
– Multiplayer
– Some Facebook integration
– In-game achievements (no Game Center support on the iPad version yet)
– Very fast and action paced

There isn’t really too much room for improvement with a game like this. You don’t expect or need a story so that isn’t an issue. The graphics look pretty sharp on the iPad and while I’m not a huge fan of the art style, it achieves exactly what they were trying to get out of it. The only gripe I really have with Shoot to Kill is that it got old pretty quick. Even with the new weapons and new enemies, it still felt almost like I was doing the same thing, over and over again, but not in a good way.

Steve’s Final Say: Well it’s free right now so it can’t hurt to try by any means. It’s a fun game, especially at first, I really don’t know if it has the legs to be a game though that you keep going back to.
