Platform Nation’s “A Simple Question”: Kinect Hacks

Microsoft’s Kinect has been out for a little while now, and people have been finding very creative ways of putting it to work.  Microsoft, who initially was against these hacks, has since come around and embraced the incredible ingenuity of its userbase (which no doubt has fueled some of the sales of the device).  It begged this week’s ASQ:

Which Kinect hack has been your favorite so far?  Is there something that hasn’t been done yet that you’d like to see?

Check out the videos in the link above, and see if one makes you OMGOMG.  I really liked the early lightsabre one, though I saw it had a bit of limitation to it.  Since then, there’s been autonomous hovercraft flight, and much more being done.  It’s pretty amazing the power of the device.’s response: “Well I don’t have that so I wouldn’t really have a favorite.” I don’t either, but that didn’t stop me!

A Simple Question (ASQ) is a weekly segment for Platform Nation.  Each week, you’ll be posed a question.   Give a response and let the world know what you think, there is no right or wrong answer here.  I will post my response on Friday. If you have a suggestion for a question, hit me up on twitter @vttym.
