Yes it is true, PlayStation is throwing their hat into the app ring and will be giving some of us access to an app that will allow you to check to check your PlayStation Trophies and keep up to date with your friends online game status. This soon to be released free app from PlayStation will only be available to those of us that hail from the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and The Netherlands. Looks like a little love was sent to others than the US and that is awesome for those that will be getting the app sometime next year. Here is a little more about the upcoming PlayStation App:
In version 1.0 you’ll be able to:
- Check out your PlayStation Network trophies and keep up to date with your friends’ games and online status.
- Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2.
- Read all the announcements on the European PlayStation.Blog.
- Share your favourite products or news with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via e-mail.
The app will be available to download for iPhone and iPod Touch with OS 4 and above, and most Android compatible handsets with a minimum of OS 1.6.
