“Pokemon Black” And “White” Dated

Pokemon trainers, rejoice! Nintendo has finally put a date on the American releases of Black and White, the latest titles in the franchise. Nearly a year after the original announcement of the titles in Japan, the titles will hit the Nintendo DS on March 6th, 2011. The game adds dozens of more new Pokemon alongside a new area to traverse.

Notably, the game comes out near the Nintendo 3DS’ likely American launch. Whether it’ll be the last swan song for the 2D, 2-screen system, or breathe new life into the console remains to be seen. Undoubtedly, the game will easily be one of the best sellers of the years, thanks to the tradition of Pokemon being a cash cow for Nintendo. Recently, the last traditional Pokemon game for the console was the pair of HeartGold and SoulSilver.

… and I still need to beat HeartGold. Maybe by the time Black and White come out…
