Platform Nation’s “A Simple Question”: Gaming Hybrids

Hardly a day goes by on Twitter where I don’t see someone saying how a game would be great if it just incorporated elements from another game.  While there are a few games out there that stand fine on their own merits, many could be improved if elements from another game were brought in (Super Puzzle Fighter comes to mind).  Even better, some games may just be made entirely different (and awesome) by combining with another (Mortal Kombat/Contra, Lego/Grand Theft Auto, Halo/Rock Band, or Paper Boy/Heavy Rain, anyone?).  Which brings us to this week’s ASQ, found after the break:

What two games would you want to combine to make a single, epic hybrid game?

No restrictions on what you can do here, but try to keep it to two games.  And give us why you think it’d be epic besides saying, “It’d be epic!” responds: “Personally, I would combine Crash Bandicoot and Plants versus Zombies; but that’s just me.” – If only a “why” followup could be asked, that’s an awesome and intriguing answer!  What can you come up with?

Special thanks to @Thiels851 and Adamx98 (Xbox Live) for their hybrid suggestions used above.

A Simple Question (ASQ) is a weekly segment for Platform Nation.  Each week, you’ll be posed a question.   Give a response and let the world know what you think, there is no right or wrong answer here.  I will post my response on Friday. If you have a suggestion for a question, hit me up on twitter @vttym.
