Nintendo Releases Launch Titles and System Details for Japanese 3DS

Although the good ol’ US of A still has a ways to go, Japan will be getting Nintendo’s 3DS in a month and a half. With time ticking down, Nintendo thought it might be prudent to release the list of launch games.

Eight in all, they are as follows:

  • Winning Eleven 3D Soccer
  • Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
  • Samurai Warriors Chronicle
  • Tobidasu! Puzzle Bobble 3D
  • nintendogs + cats
  • Ridge Racer 3D
  • Battle of Giants: Dinosaur Strike
  • Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask

An interesting list, to be sure, but some of the major contenders — Ocarina of Time, for one — will not be making the cut. Well, not yet, anyways.

On top of that, some additional details regarding the system itself have been released. First, it will come with a 2GB SD card in the box. Second, the system will require three and a half hours to charge, and that will only warrant you three to five hours of gameplay if you’re tackling a 3DS game (five to eight hours if you’re playing regular DS games).

  • That looks like a DSi photoshopped to throw in a “3” before the “D.” Plus I don’t think it is even called the 3DSi but instead just 3DS so yeah.

Did you not realise this is what will be out after every one has purchased the standard 3DS

Did you not realise this is the follow up to the 3DS..
