Despite Activision’s previous claims it seems that the exodus from Infinity Ward has had an impact on their ability to produce the next instalment of their cash-cow Call of Duty franchise. That is if you believe what sources are telling the L.A. Times.
Evidently the Infinity Ward team are falling behind schedule and as a result Activision have asked Sledgehammer (ironically formed from a team lured away from Electronic Arts…) to help out on the single player element and also Raven Software to help with work on the multiplayer.
A further downside to this is it seems to be delaying the COD based game Sledgehammer was already working on.
