Several hours ago, EA posted a teaser trailer for Battlefield 3 on their YouTube channel. Amusingly enough, this seems to go hand-in-hand with an article that was released on IGN yesterday afternoon. It seems that Battlefield developer DICE has thrown out their efforts towards working on Battlefield 1943 and the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Onslaught pack to focus working exclusively on Battlefield 3’s release. DICE’s official blog supports this message, with Karl Troedsson, General Manager at Dice, stating that “Our goal is crystal clear: we’re going to build the best Battlefield game ever, and we’ll do whatever it takes to make this the biggest launch in DICE’s history.”
While I’m certain some players will be discontent with the abandonment of some DLC, those who have been against paid DLC from the start are no doubt rejoicing over this announcement.
