
Each year for the last 14 years, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) grants honors to the industry’s top games. This past year is no different, as the usual players were involved. However, when it came down to awards, two games took home more awards than anyone else: Mass Effect 2 and Red Dead Redemption. The full list of winners follows below (courtesy of AIAS):

Red Dead Redemption – 5 (Action Game of the Year, Art Direction, Gameplay Engineering, Character Performance, and Game Direction)
Mass Effect 2 – 3 (Story, Roleplaying/MMORPG Game of the Year, and Game of the Year)
Also of note as multiple winners were LIMBO (2; Adventure Game of the Year and Sound Design), Heavy Rain (3; Original Music Composition, Visual Engineering, and Innovation in Gaming), and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty (2; Online Gameplay and Strategic/Simulation Game of the Year).
The icing on the cake for BioWare’s night were the inductions of Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk into the AIAS Hall of Fame. Well deserved, indeed.
