Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Gameplay Trailer Released

As if the Dragon Age II demo wasn’t enough to get fantasy RPG junkies such as myself all weak in the knees, Bethesda launched the newest trailer for its upcoming release in the Elder Scrolls franchise, Skyrim.

The visuals in this trailer alone are enough to get some people excited. From the beautiful snowy peaks where we see our protagonist warding off a dragon to the rushing  waters and cities atop cliffs, it truly seems that Skyrim is going to be one of the most beautiful Elder Scrolls experiences.

From a gameplay perspective, we get a taste of the familiar first-person RPG combat that Bethesda has perfected as well as demonstrations of the improved third-person approach, including an assassination. Archery seems a bit more fluid in this installment and witnessing the two-handed magic  animation left me to wonder how they are going to toy with magic in Skyrim.

Skyrim is currently scheduled for a November 11 release.
