505 Games, the team behind Supremacy MMA recently released an interview featuring Felice “Lil Bulldog” Herrig and Michele “Diablita” Gutierrez talking about a recent photoshoot, which is given a quick montage in the beginning of the video. I kind of wish they had focused more on the fact that they are able to crush our skulls with their toned and muscular thighs rather than their blatant sex appeal. But I guess sex sells better than legitimate conversation.
I did like that Guiterrez debunked some stereotypes about being an MMA Fighter. As she stated in the interview:
Street fighting is one thing, but actually being a professional fighter is the hardest sport in the world. There’s nothing you can do to test yourself more. You know, physically, emotionally, everything. I definitely think that people kind of always think that we have some troubled background, which isn’t the case at all.
Now that’s something I can get behind, changing peoples perception of what MMA is all about. I’m not a fighter myself, as I’m way to lazy, but I know two people that train for MMA regulrly, who are coincidently both writers as well, and have given me similar reasons and motivations for getting into the arena. You can check out the full interview below.
If that’s not enough for you, the Supremacy MMA team also filmed individul interviews with both female fighters, which you can take a look at below.
