Attention all Mass Effect fanboys and fangirls alike: commence squealing sequence now. Bioware has announced it’s final DLC pack for Mass Effect 2, simply dubbed “Arrival”. BioWare has been teasing it’s fans all week by releasing screenshots of an upcoming DLC mission. That mysterious mission has finally been confirmed today. “Mass Effect: Arrival is an exciting extension to Mass Effect 2 and will show players just how close the Reapers are to returning and completing their deadly harvest,” said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series.
Arrival will take Commander Shepard to the edge of the galaxy to recover a secret operative who may have evidence of the impending Reaper invasion. Long time fans of the series will also recognize a familiar face. Admiral Hackett is said to play an important role the DLC, and will be voiced by Lance Henrikson (Aliens, Terminator).
Arrival will set players back only 560 MS Points, about $6.50 on the PlayStation Network, and 560 BioWare points for PC players. The pack also includes three achievements/trophies. The final mission will begin March 29, so go warm up those engines. This is bound to be a good one.
