It’s recently hit the internet that after being picked on by a bully, Australian kid Casey Heynes beat up his taunting adversary in a manner that the internet found reminiscent of Zangief from the Street Fighter series. Some person made the connection to add Zangief’s theme to the video, which is freakin’ hilarious and can be viewed below.
Apparently, Casey was suspended as a result of his reaction, even though he was clearly being videotaped while being bullied, although the bully was suspended as well for four days. The bully’s mom also demanded an apology from Casey, who the internet has dubbed ‘Zangief Kid’
The emotional mother of Ritchard Gale, Tina, told the Seven Network last night that she and her family have been victimised by the footage, which has spread worldwide. She also demanded an apology from the victim.
“We don’t need this posted everywhere,” she said. “I would like him to apologise.”
She said she was “shocked” at her son’s behaviour, but did not think he deserved to be bodyslammed by Year 10 student Casey Heynes at Chifley College’s Dunheved Campus, St Marys.
“I was actually shocked because I always brought my three children up to walk away from fights,” she said.
Is this woman serious? Maybe she should demand an apology from her own kid as well.
Regardless of the larger issues raised here about violence in the school system and whatnot, I still think this is the best application of any Street Fighter content I’ve seen in a while.
As Youtube user zmaster 551 put it on the issue of school violence
The little shit deserved it. He’s lucky he’s not in one of my schools with more violent students, WAY MORE VIOLENT. He would get his ass dropped in mere seconds, and it would be worse than the zangief kid did.
If you found that entertaining, Calm Down Tom put together some of the best Zangief Kid remixes on the internet.
