Warner Bros. Interactive announced today that the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection will be coming to online services this summer. Planned to be released on Xboxlive, the PlayStation Network, as well as for the PC, all gamers can expect to get their hands on the classic 2D fighting goodness of the first three Mortal Kombat arcade games.
We are very excited to finally have the first three Mortal Kombat games available in one download package for long-time and new fans to play,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios. “With the release of our 2011 Mortal Kombat, and its return to 2D game play, players have been asking for these classic titles and we are happy to deliver them.
In addition to the opportunity for fans of the series to relive the original experience of all three arcade games, the new arcade kollection will come with achievements and trophies, leader-boards and online play.
This kollection will price in at $9.99 on the PlayStation and for 800 Microsoft points on the Xboxlive service, (the equivalent of $9.99.)
Sharpen those fighting skills ladies and gentlemen, and prepare for an old-school arcade throw-down come this summer.
