Now that the crisis is over (for the most part), things should be returning to normal. Still, with all of the downtime, PSN has a lot to make up for. Multiplayer was a big issue — I’m sure the masses are relieved that they’ll finally get to give Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat an online test-drive — but let us not forget the PlayStation Store.
While everything was in gridlock, plenty of titles that should have been released were stuck in limbo. Now, to compensate, Sony is planning to update the store “multiple times per week”. At least that’s what Jeff Rubenstein had to say in a recently released FAQ (you can read it in its entirety here). He also added this:
“We will update the PlayStation.Blog with information on timing of the Store restoration, as well as the full list of new content as each publish occurs.”
It’s not perfect, but it’s a start. Look for full functionality to return by the end of the month.
