More Details Emerge About Battlefield’s Back To Karkand DLC

A couple weeks ago I wrote about the first DLC pack for Battlefield 3, Back To Karkand. If you didn’t quite remember, Back to Karkand will be free for those that pre-order the game and it will be a remake of 4 classic Battlefield maps, Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman, and Sharqi Peninsula. The first bit of information that the Battlefield team released was about remake of Strike at Karkand, well earlier this week they gave us some information about the Wake Island remake in their multipart behind the scenes series that they are doing about the Back to Karkand DLC. Here is a little bit of information that you will get if you check out the full article:

How do you feel now that Wake Island is set for a reimagining?
— I feel excited! What still grabs me about Wake Island is the fact that it really is all-out war. Aircraft are taking off from the carriers, anti-aircraft guns are firing, boats are coming in, tanks are rolling by… And sometimes you just have to stand there and look out across the glittering water because it’s so beautiful. There will always be a special place in my heart for Wake Island.

If you haven’t checked out either of these two articles yet, do yourself a favor and read them. They really give a nice behind the scenes perspective about this DLC. Now to get the Back to Karkand DLC pack, you will need to have a pre-order of the game in, luckily for you guys and gals, if you click the image below you can get your pre-order in and by doing so, you will also be helping us keep the lights on over here at Platform Nation. I already have my pre-order in for the PlayStation 3 version because this is really my most anticipated game of 2011. I’m still actually playing the last Battlefield every week.

For those of you that might want to join myself sometime on some Battlefield Bad Company 2, here is my player card below. Feel free to add me on the PlayStation 3 if you are also still playing.
