E3 2011: Halo Combat Evolved Remake Coming

Even though this has been a rumor for the last couple of months. Minutes ago at the Microsoft E3 Press Conference it was announced that the anniversary edition of Halo Combat Evolved (Halo 1) is going to be coming out later this year.

Not only will this be a remake of the first Halo game, but it will feature brand new graphics and maps. It will also support Xbox Live so you can play it with your friends.

The gameplay looked absolutely phenomenal and it looks to be a complete remastering of the original Halo but this time in crisp HD on the Halo Reach engine.

Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary is due to come out on November 15th on Xbox 360.

Stay tuned to Platform Nation for more information and footage from E3 2011.

ahhh i want this so bad. I believe it was confirmed months ago just no details were available. I wonder if the AI will be improved. I for one want it to stay the same (and hopefully have a option to revert to original graphics), but i could see it being a problem for people less familiar to the game. Also be interesting to see what price point this launches at.
