E3 2011: Nyko Announces The Zoom For Kinect At E3

Microsoft’s Kinect is unquestionably one of the best pieces of gaming technology available – that, is, assuming you have the adequate space for it. The new Zoom for Kinect by Nyko has done away with the space necessary to play with the Kinect, and has introduced a range reduction lens that allows players to play 40% closer than a traditional Kinect. Designed with multiplayer gaming in mind, the Zoom allows two players to play a Kinect game in an area that was normally only available to one player.

Specially designed optical lenses fit over the Kinect sensor and clip into place making set up a breeze with nothing to plug in. No additional software or calibration is required. The design of the Zoom blends seamlessly with the look and feel of the Kinect. The Zoom opens up a whole new world of Kinect play to those who previously lacked the space required to fully enjoy it.

Do you think this will help boost some Kinect sales, or get more Kinect gaming going?

The Zoom for Kinect will retail for $29.99. Find out more here.
