A Simple Question: Gaming News Sources

Information travels pretty fast now-a-days.  Gone is the need to rely solely on monthly periodicals, weekly newsletters, or even daily updates.  With the prevalence of 24 hour news sites and social media, getting the latest scoop on your favorite game is as simple as bringing up your favorite website (Like, for instance, Platform Nation), or logging into your Twitter account.  It got me thinking..

What is your PRIMARY source of gaming news?

(You may need to refresh the page to see the poll)

As usual, some caveats: when I say Primary, I mean where you go the most, not necessarily where you get the best info.  So if you spend 3 hours a day on websites, but find you get the best info from your 30 minutes on Facebook, then you’re still primarily getting your news from websites (you’re just more efficient elsewhere).  Personally, I’ve shifted from websites to social media, and Twitter in particular.  While Twitter will often reference websites, I spend far more time conversing with other people in the gaming world about current events and breaking news than I do on websites or message boards.  I still need websites for the details, but I primarily use Twitter.

What about you? Vote up above, and give us the details below.

A Simple Question (ASQ) is a weekly segment for Platform Nation.  Each week, you’ll be posed a question.   Give a response and let the world know what you think, there is no right or wrong answer here. If you have a suggestion for a question, hit me up on twitter @vttym.
