Bad Teacher: Early Screening

Talk about a comedy that exceeded my expectations, Bad Teacher staring Cameron Diaz is just such a movie. I want to thank Janet Wainwright PR for once again, inviting us in and again letting us do a special contest for the screening. Back to the movie now, Bad Teacher stars the sexed up Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake and one of my favorites, you might have seen him on How I Met Your Mother or Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Jason Segel. They are the main cast but you will see a very strong supporting cast as well, full of familiar faces and people, all of them pretty funny too. A few more basics about the movie, it’s rated R and it will be hitting the big screens this Friday, June 24, 2011.

The story behind Bad Teacher is that Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz), gets dumped by her really rich fiancée and she has to go back to teaching only to see a single and rich substitute teacher Scott Delacorte (Justin Timberlake), so then she schemes to win his affection, and of course, his money. Now as an attempt to win his money… I mean love, she feels she needs to save up for a boob job. And of course, since she needs money, Cameron Diaz finds out about a bonus for teachers of the highest scoring class on the state standardized test that would pretty much cover what she needed. There’s a whole lot more there, I just don’t want to spoil it for you so I’ll keep the majority of what happens to myself for now.

There isn’t much to say that’s bad about this movie, if you go into wanting a really funny comedy, that is exactly what you are going to get. Don’t go into Bad Teacher thinking you are going to get an intertwined story with deep characters, that’s not what it’s about. It’s about just making you have fun and laugh out loud and it achieves that, and then some.

Bad Teacher is up there for the funniest movie I’ve seen this year. I originally thought it would be just an ok comedy but I was dead wrong, I laughed out loud throughout the movie, and so did everyone else in the theater with me. This is Cameron Diaz’s funniest and best performance since Something About Mary and this is such a completely different side to Justin Timberlake that we have yet to see before. I couldn’t recommend Bad Teacher enough, it’s out this Friday and you owe it to yourself to go see it.
