Just when you thought things could not get worse for the Wii’s horizon, and despite a seemingly universal (albeit hardcore) acclaim for quality titles like The Last Story, Pandora’s Tower and Xenoblade, Nintendo has officially stated it currently has no plans on releasing said games in western territory.
According to a tweet Nintendo of America made in response to the good fellows at Operation Rainfall (the fan-driven campaign exercising pressure for an eventual release), “there continues to be no plans for NOA to release these 3 games right now”.
In addition, they had something to say in their Facebook page:
“Thank you for your enthusiasm. We promised an update, so here it is. We never say “never,” but we can confirm that there are no plans to bring these three games to the Americas at this time. Thanks so much for your passion, and for being such great fans!”
No further details on this decision have been disclosed at this time, but this is sad news indeed for loyal North American fans longing to get their hands on these gems. Way to go Nintendo.
