Twisted Pixel, the diabolical geniuses behind download only titles like The Maw, Comic Jumper and the Splosion Man series, will finally see their first retail game hit shelves this fall. The Gunstringer, announced for retail months ago, has been confirmed to sell at a low price of $40 (which is about ten bucks lower than normal Kinect-fare). The game will be coming out September 13th in North America, Australia, Asia and New Zealand, and September 16th in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
And not only does the game come at a discount price in the first place, but you’ll be getting a free download code for Fruit Ninja Kinect, the yet-released XBLA Kinect title slated for release on August 10th, in Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade.
And if that’s not enough for you, Twisted Pixel is putting out the game’s first DLC pack for free at launch, entitled “The Wavy Tube Man Chronicles”. Here’s a brief description:
In this add-on, Wavy Tube Man Jr. steals a time machine to prevent his father’s death at the hands of “The Gunstringer,” and it’s up to players to battle classic western cowboys and futuristic warriors to save the world from destruction.
Even insaner still, if you pre-order the game from “select US and European retailers” you’ll get two DLC codes for a free Gunstringer-related prop for your avatar.
My undying love for anything Twisted Pixel just got justified. Times a billion.
