One feature that PC gamers have always enjoyed is the server browser. Instead of having to use a quick join or match-making service, PC gamers were given the luxury of being able to see every server and sort by almost any option – number of players, map, gameplay options, and more.
Some console games let you choose a specific gametype or even a specific map, but none have brought the flexibility and functionality of the full-fledged server browser until now. Today at GamesCom, an annual videogame trade fair in Germany, DICE General Manager Karl Magnus confirmed that the console version of Battlefield 3 will feature a server browser.
EA isnt cutting any corners on the console version of Battlefield 3. This is a big difference compared to Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for Xbox 360 that had a significantly limited feature set when compared to the PC version.
