I can now die a happy man! I got my hands on some Battlefield 3 and I must say, this game is not over hyped. In about 10 minutes of time I not only found one of the most enjoyable games that I’ve played so far at PAX, but one of the most enjoyable games that I’ve ever played. Just a heads up, there won’t be any spoilers here. In fact, there won’t be much talk at all of much. I really didn’t get to play too much other than a level of co-op play. That one level of co-op play, though, is all I needed to see to confirm that there is not a game I want more than this. The weapons felt amazing: super realistic, they looked great and sounded great. The co-op was a whole lot of fun, the tasks that I saw involved teamwork but at the same time, you weren’t really penalized if you were playing with someone who wasn’t quite up to par with their FPS skills. The graphics were awesome, I was playing a PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3 and it just looked great. I know there really isn’t too much to this article, but that’s only because of the limit of what I saw, and what I was able to do. I’d love to show you all some pictures, video and all that cool jazz but I was yelled at for taking a picture of just the controller layout sheet so that wasn’t allowed. Anyways, stay on the lookout for Battlefield 3, this should be at the top of all of your lists for must have games this year.
